So what is My Handmade Registry?
My Handmade Registry answers this question that you may have asked 100 times: "I wish I could REGISTER for a HANDMADE WISH LIST to send to my friends and family for birthdays, holidays, and special occasions!"? :: Pink Posies Fused Glass Votive Holder ::

Allan and I were in Atlanta for a few days attending a couple of photography seminars, Sandy Puc's "Tots 2 Teens" and LexJet's Great Output Seminar "Professional Photographic and Fine Art Printing", so I didn't check my e-mail until this morning. What a great surprise to find that Jillian Spencer of Eternal Images had selected my Pink Posies Fused Glass Votive Holder (above) for her Lilac & Lime Glass and Pottery Treasury.
Jillian is a photographer and her Etsy shop offers a lot of nature and macro imagery. Click here to check out her Etsy shop. Jillian is very talented and I was impressed by her work and began following her blog as inspiration for my own artistry. Be sure to click here to view the wonderful Treasury Jillian assembled and take a look at all the beautiful works of art featured. It's fresh and Spring-y and you won't be able to resist the gorgeous colors!
Thanks again Jillian!

Sassy Glass Studio :: Thankful Collection 2008

Thankful Collection 2008
Platter $52
Vase $26
Coasters $28
Sassy Glass Studio recently created a new collection just in time for Thanksgiving...literally. I took these pieces out of the kiln on Thanksgiving morning which was a little late for this year's celebration but early enough for next year's turkey dinner. The collection includes a 12 inch square sushi platter, a set of four coasters and a vase/votive holder/serving bowl. I had designed the platter a week or so ago using autumn shades of red, orange and yellow. It is terrific eye-catching color combination that is sure to look great on any table at any time of the year.
Sassy Glass Studio accepts MC/Visa/Checks/Cash and can custom create pieces in your choice of colors.

Check out the Sassy Glass Studio shop for many great Christmas gift ideas.
There's something Sassy for everyone!

Let There Be Light :: Beautiful, Unique Lanterns

Warm tones glow in the setting sun

Cool jewel tones create an ocean effect

This week, as I prepared for a Sassy Glass Studio @ Home Show in Jacksonville, FL, I decided to give myself more work and created a couple of lanterns. The wrought iron lanterns had been sitting, sad and lonely, on a shelf in the studio for several months day-dreaming of becoming something absolutely wonderful, so I finally granted their wishes.
The lanterns are about 10 inches tall and the four side panels, one is the door, are about 5 inches wide. In the center of the lantern is a recessed area for a large votive of any height. Included in this post are several photographs of the two pieces, one is in cool colors and the other in warm tones. One of these is sure to complement your home decor. Each lantern is $78 and available for delivery in the Knoxville area. Contact Lisa at lisa@sassyglassstudio.com to inquire about these one-of-a-kind works of art.

Silvery Snow on a Shiny Plum

Today I am sharing a Sassy Glass Studio fused glass plate that is perfect for holiday gift giving. Why is it perfect for holiday gift giving you ask? It is perfect for holiday gift giving because it is gorgeous, handmade, not too big-not too small, perfectly priced and easy to wrap. I present to you...a wonderful confection of silver mica powder wrapped in rich purple glass. The mica glistens beneath a layer of clear glass and has created gentle moguls across the surface. Delightful!

The plate is perfect for holding trinkets and treasures, such as this lovely hand-crafted "Sassy" sterling silver necklace from Wound Around Jewelry. Click here to visit WAJ on Etsy.
Light up the night with a couple of votive candles
The right size for post-its and paper clips too
The plate is one-of-a-kind fused glass and has been slumped into a ceramic plate mold to give it shape and definition. It is approximately 5 3/4 inches square. $24
Sassy Glass Studio accepts cash, check, MC and Visa. Shipping charges are extra.
