Banner Elk Fine Art and Craft Show Update

Allan and I could not have asked for a better weekend for the last art show of Sassy Glass Studio's summer schedule. The weather was cool and sunny, the people we met were entertaining and enjoyable and as always the best part was being able to share our one-of-a-kind fused glass art with people who appreciated our work.

Now that we have a break in our show schedule until Spring we are looking forward to filling up the calendar with Sassy Glass Studio @ Home shows. The @ Home shows are a great way to share Sassy Glass Studio with your friends and family as well as a fantastic opportunity for people to find unique gifts for everyone on their holiday shopping list. Call or e-mail Lisa at lisa@sassyglassstudio.com if you are interested in hosting an @Home show or if you want more information.

Sassy Glass Studio's Art Show Update isn't complete unless we include our favorite four-legged friends from the weekend...
These are some of the dogs that visited Sassy Glass Studio's booth and enjoyed a refreshing drink of water from the ruffle dog bone bowl along with a little snack from Allan. Miley, the little German Shepherd mix looked up at us with her sad little eyes as if to say "You can't have this bowl." The bowl did find a happy home this weekend. It will be given to some lucky dogs for Christmas. How awesome is that?

At the end of a long day it's nice to be able to enjoy this beautiful view atop Beech Mountain compliments of Allen and Mary Jane Borden...

Fred's General Mercantile Crafts on the Green Update

The booth set up at Fred's General Mercantile Crafts on the Green

This weekend Sassy Glass Studio was back in North Carolina for the Crafts on the Green at Fred's General Mercantile on Beech Mountain. Fred's General Mercantile has been the place to stop and grab some groceries, beer and wine or even a meal on Beech Mountain since 1979 and if you have ever been up the mountain you have probably stopped there. Fred's hosted about 70 artists and craftspeople for the annual show on Saturday. The weather was perfect, except for two short rain showers that helped to cool the hot temperatures a bit. People and dogs were out and about for a fun day of art, crafts, music, food and fun. As usual we welcomed all the canine companions at the Sassy Glass Studio booth, but this time we had a special new dog water bowl (the RUFFled water bowl with dog bone) and dog snacks. Paws down our booth was the most popular with thirsty dogs in need of drink!

We had a visit from Gizmo (the laughing dog from Banner Elk) and a poodle in a pink dress named Veronica and a sweet Olde English Sheepdog named Moses and many others furry friends. Special thanks go out to Cheryl and Gregory who stopped by in the morning before a trip to pick blueberries at a farm and came back with a bag of blueberries for us. They were delicious!!
